    This seems like a quality signing, if hecky can bring this lot together young, big, powerful, fast, hungry could be a great season watching this lot develop.

    Came through the ranks at Old Trafford. They had hoped to get £6 million
    for him when he joined Spurs but it says in the piece I've seen they had to settle for £3 million.
    Contract up at Palace sounds as though we've got him on a free on a 3 year deal.
    Good bit of business IMO.

    Not saying he's **** or owt, but why do you get excited about him and not the other signings despite the fact he's 24 and has only played 38 competitive games of football? Is it just because he was a young un at Man Utd?

    This has the potential to be a cracking signing. He was very highly thought of a few years ago, but dropped of the radar for some reason. If the coaching team can work their magic on him, he could be one of the next players to go for big money.
