I think they feel sorry for him because his career was cut short through injury. Ultimately they will be masters of their own downfall because even though they're loaded they haven't got the capital should they rise any further than League 1. I think they'll be scrambling for a sale then.
I think if the club came out and said we want to be a top end League 1 club with the odd cup run and stint in the Championship bringing players on most fans would admire the up front nature and go along with it. It's the limbo of being a nowhere club that annoys some. That's just my opinion.
Maybe, but we should aim for being a stable Championship team. It is where we have spent most seasons of our football life, and the most of any other Football team
I agree. I just think expectancy levels have been lowered in recent years. That added to the fact that it's harder now than ever to establish the club in the Championship. There has to be progression because if you stand still eventually that progression turns to struggle. The main problem is that progress costs money. You only have to look at Preston.
Flicker is available, I didn't realise he has a pretty good win ratio overall, 40.1% His worst results were when managing Barnsley, at 31.1% but he also has a 65.7% undefeated record over the 4 clubs he's managed.
He should have broken the side up after they avoided relegation. You can have false faith in a side after coming through that sort of ordeal.
I can't remember the exact players, but I think he signed 8 players that summer following the great escape didn't he?
He did but he wasted a summer chasing O'Grady when there were other people out there we could have signed. Majority of his signings weren't fit for purpose.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bar...9/plus/0?saison_id=2013&pos=&detailpos=&w_s=s I don't think this search has worked properly, but it's got many players I recognise signing but some of them loans look a bit suspect to me! It's got nearly 20 players on it for transfers in the 13/14 summer transfer window
Pedersen, Jennings and Mccourt came with reputations but delivered very little. Funny thing with Jennings was he was just starting to show some promise when we got rid under Lee Johnson.
All very underwhelmed by those three. Look at Dale Jennings now, playing for Runcorn, what a waste of a talent. Still only 27, looks older than me, lol
I've looked up this Zornigger guy. It looks a good CV because it has Leipzig, Stuttgart and Brondby in it. However, not so good if you delve a little deeper.
