Strange that his job was advertised before the club announced that he had left. http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/job-going-at-oakwell.259166/#post-2014133
Tragic. Good luck Bunny. For me he was the Academy's Winstanley. Like the article says, brought through Stonesy, Holgate and Bree, and also Butterfield. Club ought to do something for him.
Even stranger that the announcement came after questions were being asked on this forum . The power of BBS .
Did he leave last month or hand in his notice last month? He could have been on gardening leave and have now officially left.
I'd imagine they've waited to announce it because a lot of fans had already decided we were in a huge crisis after the Rotherham game & not having many players. After a great home win & getting the signings we wanted it's probably a better time to release news like this & the conspiracy theorists won't make out things are going wrong behind the scenes like they would've done if it was released weeks ago
Redfern would be a good replacement not sure if it is realistic. Would be good to see Bruce have a role at the club though.
Unlikely I think. Neil more likely to take up a management role at a smaller local club. Has done the rounds in this kind of position. Always got time for the bloke, but his heart is with Leeds, not us, although he speaks highly of us & his time here.
Yeah thought he may still be looking for a job in management. Did well with the Leeds and that is his boyhood club been a West Yorkshire lad Keighley If I remember right. Like I said I would also welcome Bruce to the position and would be happy for him to be part of the setup here
Yet for some strange reason our supporters bar is named after him. Glavins bar would be more appropriate. Genuine legend.
Using that logic Glavin must be ruled out too because he's a Celtic fan. I doubt that Redfearns heart belongs to Leeds as much these days after his partner sued them
