    Some one on Tykes Mad has heard a rumour about signing Jacob.Could he (if it happened) be the type of experienced player we should be looking at.300 Championship games under his belt and still at a relative young age.If theres any truth in it it would be a yes from me.

    I've just listened to P.H interview after yesturdays game and he mentions a few times about lacking quality.This transfer window has to rectify that.

    I loved Jacob first time around, and felt we should build a team around him, which we did before he left. However, talking to my other half and other Wednesday fans, they are less than impressed. Dwells too long on the ball, looks unfit, and can't find player. I had to do my very best to convince them that he was great for us. (Sorry Whitey).

    He’s been ***** for Wednesday barring a few games.

    Unfit. He looked massively unfit for Derby at Oakwell last year too.

    Would love Butterfield back but I’m guessing some has seen the thread on here mentioning Butterfield (I think the thread was about Winnall originally) and gone with that.

    I remember people saying that Hammill was past it and had been under par and unfit at Huddersfield and Rotherham when he was linked with a return to Oakwell. It’s horses for course imho and I think that JB would be a success at Oakwell once again if only we could afford what I expect to be considerable wages.

    He'd be a decent signing if we built the team around him.
    He excelled in that number 10 role just behind the strikers when Hill had his best spell with us. He's got a very rare attribute in which he can use both feet.
    He would be no good as a holding midfielder for example, he's much better when looking to get the ball forward.

    Won't happen though.

    I always loved Jacob.
    Just before he left us, he was immense.
    So much talent, left and right foot, equally,

    free kick specialist, clever creator.
    I was so sad when he left.
