Err really? a) you actually spent time digging out the thread in order to rush to his defence? and....b) Since the one where I made the comment was over two and a half years ago and even I can't find it in the archive please tell me how you found it let alone confirm he wasn't involved in the thread.
I remembered your thread and the stick some people gave you but couldn't remember him being anything to do with it so I used the little search button to find it and see how much he had slagged you off in it and also to see what I'd said in it because I remembered the thread quite well so figured I must have commented on it at the time. So no I didn't spend time digging it out to defend him, I spent a few seconds doing a search just out of curiosity. http://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/that-black-steward-at-wembley.244582/
Not sure what the relevance is. I didn't remember that thread, but had I contributed, I doubt very much I'd have had issue with anyone referring to the match steward being black in order to pinpoint which steward it was.
OK Apology due from me. At the time I felt it was unreasonable to be accused of making a racial comment as I used a descriptor that just happened to be a reference to a man with dark skin given I was marking him out as worthy of praise and recognition for his actions. Your comment stirred up the feeling that there are two standards. It is OK for an ethnic person to bring up colour but if a white person does it it seems to be unacceptable. For what it is worth I DO believe Diane Abbott , whilst she HAS no doubt been the victim of some pretty nasty abuse she does play the race card a bit too much and has herself been guilty of some dubious statements in the past (not that it excuses racism towards her. She seems to have the respect of her constituents as an MP but I am not sure that necessarily qualifies her to hold a senior Ministerial/front bench post.
That last accusation can be aimed at any of the last ministries the current incumbents hold Damian Green has feked every post Hes been in. And those are rproven not alleged as Diane’s current accusations are
