We just slum it with Chicken these days, as both my kids will actually eat chicken which in our house is a big thing.

I did it!!! They were nice about everything, my dad ate it all and took extra dessert home and my mam ate without complaining (she did leave a lot but to be fair I served big portions forgetting she eats like a bird).

    Aaand relax!

For the second year in a row, I will be alone at Christmas, thanks to the global plague.
The prior six years I would be sitting outside of some swanky restaurant in Sydney with an old friend of mine. We would try somewhere different every year.
I'll also miss out on our traditional NYE of me crawling round a few pubs in Sydney during the day, and then returning with a bottle of Bolly to watch the fireworks from her balcony.

Anyway, enough of the whoa is me.

I love a good Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. feast, but I'm just not good at getting several things to be ready at the same time. That's why I tend to cook curries, chili, Bolognese, etc.
Usually, I have an Australian Grass Fed Beef Tenderloin, with my go-to side of Cauliflower au Gratin.

Today I decided on a change and will be having a Boneless Lamb Leg (not sure how the little bugger managed to walk) with Rosemary and Garlic.
I have the ingredients for my trusty Cauliflower dish on standby, but I am also thinking of experimenting with Mushrooms & Shallots in a Red Wine Cream sauce.

Breakfast / Brunch will be my traditional bottle of Bolly with strawberries.

If I'm still hungry later, I also have a Matthew Walker Luxury Christmas pudding with Ambrosia Devon Custard (with a jigger of rum; my Mum's favorite).

Sorry for the longwinded diatribe, but I just arose and wanted to share on Christmas morning, before the Zoom session with the family back in Barnsley.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE (the first Saturday for months where we've not lost :))
