Sacking a manager is rarely definitive though, is it. Almost always a bit of a punt. When is the right time? I don't think there's a right answer.

Personally I think the Club has a real decision to make in about 6 weeks. Halfway through, we will have played everyone once and the January window will be fast approaching. That's mebbi the stick or twist moment for me. If we find ourselves outside the top 6 after the Xmas fixtures for example, we will be outside expectation and would also mean we're on a downward trajectory at that point. I think it would be difficult to fight a case for Collins being the man to turn things round at that point, and turn us back into a top 6/promoted side.

That said, this is based on my expectation for the new manager when Duff left, which was top 6 or sacked.

Personally think it's too early to pull the trigger, but based on what I've seen so far, I have to admit I'm starting to pay a lot more attention to this, on a game by game basis.

I think I agree with most of that - fair points well made.

Completely wrong appointment/style. I'm sure Collins would be a good manager in a team that suits his style, but our team is set up for high energy, gegenpressing, attacking football. It's a miracle we're flirting with the Play Offs.

Another harebrained decision by the board to appoint a manager of his style.

Changed my vote to yes. He starts every game trying to boil the opposition to sleep seeds in doing is boring our own fans and more importantly our own defenders into losing concentration and giving a penalty our goal away even after he finally manages to wake up I've seen more tactical nous in a piece of KFC chicken.

Good result? Lincoln looked gash if Collins hadn't have tried going all defensive we would have been 2 points better off.

I might be wrong but I'm not sure we'll touch play offs again this season.

Maybe flirt with 6th again in the next few weeks but after that fall down gradually to mid table.

Beautiful city. There's a reason why I live there! Wasn't very impressed with £15.60 for two pints on the marina after the match though!

Genuinely surprised more people haven’t altered their vote yet.

I’m not saying I’d expect a massive majority to want him out but I am not sure there’s more than half of fans at games that are definitely in the no camp.

Maybe I’m wrong, or perhaps some folk may have changed their mind and haven’t updated their vote.

Either way, whilst a point at Lincoln is decent in the face of results we’d obtained from the other top ten teams we’d played this season, it’s still pretty arguable to be more two points dropped than one gained. Their equaliser for me came about after baffling changes, all bunched together over a very short period and so always likely to disjoint the team, as well as a shape/formation shift back to the dross of the first half when we’d looked pretty good in getting in front second half.

He had gained some credit from me for that second half showing and switch up - only to ruin it by reverting to type in the last ten minutes or so. Handbrake on as soon as he skidded his pants. Best thing is he still had bodies committing forward, he didn’t even park the bus - but he clearly put the handbrake on them playing with any positivity. Ridiculous and downright cowardly.

Shame, a win would have got a monkey off his back re top ten opposition - but he’s proved once again that he and his team aren’t up to it.

Time to go Neill. Get back to the nice weather in Florida before it gets too cold over here for your kids. They aren’t used to it.

I was happy with the reaction in the 2nd half, and despite not winning in the end i think today's result should afford him more time, especially with Connell back in the side.

Don’t think we went defensive, he freshened up the holding midfielder and brought on a CB to move Williams out to the wing back. If we had changed to be more defensive then I think we would have won that. Got caught out hunting the 3rd. Also never a corner in a million years. Consistently poor ref for both teams today

The decisions he made today succeeded in grasping a draw from the jaws of victory
    Kudos to him
