    (nothing to do with sauces ) ...........as a kid a school-mate told me one of his his father's jobs was to switch on the cats eyes in the road when it got dark .... and I believed him!

    Brown sauce is absolutely vile on anything. Ketchup all the way on any breakfast sarnie. Tinned tomatoes also good, though you need a sturdy bread as otherwise it can get soggy and disintegrate.

    The exception here is if the egg has a soft yolk, in which case no sauces are required. The combination of runny yolk and anything tomato-based makes me gag. If I end up with a soft egg on a full English I have to make a barrier on my plate with a sausage so that the yolk and baked beans don't get anywhere near each other, otherwise it's Armageddon.

    I’m born and bred in Donny. And in my forties.

    I suppose that rules out me being a child, American or Southern.

    And pretty much confirms I’m a scruff.
