Have had to wear one when outside home for a while now here in Singapore. Was annoying for a while , but once you get used to it , not really that big a deal. We dont need to wear if we are eating or drinking at cafe/restaurant , social distancing in place and penalties severe for those who think they know best. The humidity here in Singapore is a bit annoying with the mask on , but all in all I am surprised how quickly I am used to it as I was quite anti-mask , as I am not ill and saw no reason to wear. Those who are sick and tested positive should wear , although they shouldnt be out in first place.
Hadn't seen that update and if true seems to totally defeat to point then. I am no expert but from what I have seen on the news etc. in the past, the fabric ones are not that good are they? Once wet they can act as the perfect breeding ground for germs. We should only be using them if we are using the best option available. With the fabric ones, you are relying heavily on people washing their hands properly when putting them on/taking them off etc. and most importantly washing them properly after every use.
So next weekend when I do my shopping... i can walk into the alambra with my 'face covering'. I can go buy some tat from Primark while wearing my 'face covering' and then go sit at one of the cafes under the same roof and I dont need to wear my 'face covering'...
It's a bit of a pain in the arse wearing one, but if it saves lives it's a no brainer. I rarely spend longer than 10 minutes in the supermarket. Nearly everything else I buy on line TBH now, as shopping is not something I enjoy much, other than record buying & I have no budget for much of that at the minute.
With all the profiteering basturds out there selling the reight face masks I shall now be eating less and my shopping trip will be shorter. Or will it?
me and an ex g/f have sort of been getting it on over the last couple of weeks and we were talking about wearing masks and she said wouldnt it be great if you could wear a brad pitt one in bed i said no worries and you can wear one that looks like your sister........................... apparently i'm nothing but an insensitive ******* and she hopes i die a painful death !
I think that was before the government announced it was going to be compulsory The law has been changed to make it manditory to wear them in shops so anyone not doing so is committing an offence - maybe the supermarket staff wont enforce it but I think the police would. I strongly expect the shop security to not allow entry to anyone who is unmasked
The police have said it can't be enforced. Store staff have no right to detain anyone & police don't have resources to patrol stores.
police cant get to ours when we've had shoplifters so theres no chance of them turning up cos somebody isnt wearing a mask
