BTW Jamdrop/Hooky Feller, thanks to your constant bickering between yourselves, you have succeeded in making this thread the best and longest I have ever posted, I am eternally grateful to you both thank you......lol.....good night and don’t sleep on an argument pls.
Once you get in a debate with one person the pack mentality sometimes kicks In on here and others seem to feel the need to jump in.
I don't think even the sofa would save me from an angry Jamdrop. I'm currently in the loft behind the water tank just to be on the safe side
Sorry you’ve had to suffer the anguish of the wait, and delighted that you didn’t get a horrendous diagnosis.
I didn’t think I’d ever see a thread in which Hooky feller made himself look dafter than this thread - and then I read that old one. Good grief. And there were a few more apologists for the use of a racial slur as well. I particularly enjoyed the defence of the use of the word gypo as Flint had long hair… yes using a racist term - but only because it’s based on a prejudiced stereotype - definitely means it’s ok… Christ on a ******* bike
Jesus Christ I've only just found that. How anyone can think it's ok to use a racially offensive slur because how someone looks is beyond me and why someone would double down on it and keep defending it is ******* bonkers. Why they'd drag it up 3 years later to make themselves look like an idiot again I will never er know
Funnily enough I had one tonight. The doctor warned me to avoid anything hot, as he'd snipped out a couple of biopsies from my oesophagus. I had a Dhaka, a proper beginner's dish. Delicious!
Ffs Carry on. And explain what I actually said. I said it might be inappropriate. But not aimed imo at the Romany Gypsies in the Holocaust. Which I stand by. A Totally unnecessary comment in my view at the time. Another selective post. Btw. As for the defense of the word. What I actually said was it was commonly used. Not that I agreed with it. That was a fact not something made up. I'll ask you. what did you think the poster meant by using the word. Aimed at the player or the Holocaust you choose. Seeing you have an opinion how it went. If you didn't get it the first time you never will. As for the other apologists take it up with them their view instead of piling on. one of my posts. 'But it was not used in that way. Most would understand what he meant and took it that way. May not be politically correct. But don’t look for something that’s not meant in the way you wish to perceive. Opinions. Eh' . Opinion btw. I had a different opinion but it fell on deaf ears. I fully understood why she made the point btw. Just didnt agree to the tone of it. Questioned my education. another condescending remark. I'm well educated. And well read. but did not respond to such a remark at the time. I also hate racism in all its forms but not going around calling everyone a racist for a remark not intending to offend in that manner. as you implied in a previous post. About myself. Sometimes some of those that shout loudest to everyone and sundry that a remark may be racist. When it may be nothing like the case. Need to take a step back. I have seen more people targeted on here that have been imo misinterpreted on occasion.
Best wishes to you as well … Health and happiness are priority in life. May all Barnsley fans have both for a long time! Remember that we’re on this forum for one reason …. COYR
It's got everything. Amongst the dirge and embarrassment from the past is some genuine heartwarming news.
A few years ago I had a similar quandry about Brad Potts and Jacob Brown on the right wing. Hence the 4-4-2 song. Eventually I decided Adam Hammill on the left was better.
