ha ha, bloke who goes in our local "can't afford to watch them these days" yet he's in the local 4 nights a week downing ten pints plus. Tell you what pal, stay in for one night, you'll have the money then.
It is £25 to watch Southampton v Bristol Rovers in League 1 (Division 3). Some Barnsley just love to moan
RE: ha ha, bloke who goes in our local dont go to pubs anymore m8, another rip off, and there is 3 pubs in Wombwell that sell ale at £1.50 pp
RE: Fair price for a one off game to say we have cheap admission prices... Exactly What do people want? Best ticket prices in the division and people are moaning about paying an extra fiver to see the biggest club in the world.
RE: I'm waiting for the £5 club shop voucher for STH's... Anyone needing an additional incentive to go to this game should pack in watching football
RE: £15 v Burnley-should be the same for this game............... Everyone was happy for a reduction in the Burnley game & for the Blackpool cup game (£12 & £6) 2 years ago, so I am happy that the price's are slightly higher for this game! All balance's itself out! Well done BFC!!!
How do I get me one of these??? (hidebehindsofa) Doesn't seem that bad to me - specially after I've just read a post that says we're charging £29.50 for a ticket tonight against Derby, and not in the Grandstand either. Now that's just ridiculous.
QPR fans have to pay £30 to watch their side play, er, Barnsley £25 against Man Utd "reserves" seems like pretty good value when you look at it that way. On a more serious note, I think you ought to be careful dividing fans up into "season ticket holders" and "fair weather supporters". There are quite a few shades of grey between those two, as you well know.
Supply and demand Simples. Again, theres plenty willing to tell Patrick Cryne to "Get Cheque book art" When it comes to stumping up their own money when its unglamorous Burnley no fecker turns up even though the club drop the prices through the floor! and when it's glory glory man utd there people go saying how the club again should keep money in the fans pockets and someone else subsidise their football. FFS to eternity. Here the club has a chance to make a bit of money at a reasonable price. QPR charge £30 for a match against Barnsley and you complain about £25 for this match. I cannot believe the **** I read on here sometimes.
RE: QPR fans have to pay £30 to watch their side play, er, Barnsley I'd expect to pay 30 in the capital ha. By fair weather i'm just on about those who haven't been since Wembley but will be asking around for help in getting to this match. All those who deserve to go the most (STHs, home stub fans) will all get in anyway.
Can't quite believe what I'm reading Many people on here complain that we don't compete well in the transfer market, don't compete with wages etc etc, therefore we don't get the best players. And yet, when asked for money to watch us play against arguably the best club in the world, they complain about the price! Where is the club supposed to get this money from to buy and pay all these top players? Ah yes, I forgot, from Mr Cryne's wallet. If you don't like the price, don't go. Simple. I'm sure someone else will be happy to sit in your seat, and pay for it.
Despite people laughing riotously at those complaining at the price I still think we should stick to our usual prices rather than charging extra. I'm not going to complain about it as I don't think it's that big a deal, but imho I believe charging the regular price shows us loyal Barnsley fans that the club appreciates us and lets us enjoy these special nights at the same price we stump up week in, week out, year in, year out. After all, the gate receipts made from cup runs are above and beyond what the club budget for across a season. I just think it would be a nice gesture, but the club haven't gone that way, so there you go. I'll still be going.
The problem is... ....prices have to be agreed between us and Man U don't they? I know that was the reason Chelsea prices were increased (or at least what was given as the reason)
