and there you have it "...fleece the away supporters". Is fleecing fans home or away, the way to attract more people back to the grounds? Shurely shome mishtake!
I would just say that most championship teams who run membership schemes insist that discounted tickets are purchased before the day of the game. Therefore in that respect the 90 minute rule is quite generous, even if it does not fit for everyone. Also you can purchase tickets with the membership scheme online or phone and buy and arrange to collect before kick off Nothing is perfect but those who say we are not going again because the team is crap etc miss one big point. If you do not go then how can the club raise sufficient income to get better players. Vicious circle, but surely we are all Barnsley Fc supporters and at the end of the day want Barnsley to play at the highest possible level. At the end of the day, we all want a team which is competitive, a club that is solvent and not in the same financial mess as say Pompey etc, well that means we need people to get down to Oakwell and support the team, and also we need a big slice of good fortune as we compete with teams with bigger fan bases and budgets than we can even dream of
Re: I'm sorry, what do you want exactly? Well I hope you enjoy spending your money on something "better". To me, its supporting my team, and I accept that is by taking the bad with the good. So if that makes me a "real fan" (your words, not mine), then I am. You do your thing....I'll do mine.
Totally agree I was a season ticket holder for years until work and family commitments meant even with the discount that I could't get to enough games. Now its pay top whack no choice because the discounts are usually unworkable foe anybody living away. And yes without the discount itreally isn't value for money at all.
