Really don't get the relevance of asking if ST Holders will be going.

Pretty sure nobody will be going at that price. But £49 isn't the starting point as pointed out already.

that's where it goes wrong every time! Should be an organised move by supporters throughout the leagues, no problems with Clubs making money but especially in the Prem too much of average guys wages goes to keeping players with veeeery average skill sets in supercars.

It'll be £42, the South Stand runs down the side of the pitch, I don't think I'll be going at that price but I can't say for sure. There was a good few thousand of us paid £46 at Leeds a few years ago for Danny's first game.

    Not a chance.

I'm also considering not going to any game that we charge more than £30 for, too.

I wouldn't pay it for a Premier League match, let alone to sit in that relic of a ground.

Because some season ticket holders don't seem to think there's anything wrong with non season ticket holders having to pay our highest categories at Oakwell.

Yes the south stand does run the length of the pitch, but that's not where the away fans are housed at Hillsborough. They're put in the Leppings Lane end upper, behind the goal (i.e. the west stand) which means the same ticket prices as the kop apply. We can't be charged more than the home fans behind the other goal because of FL regulations, and I don't think Wednesday are going to be kind and charge us less :(

Went to about 54 games last season as I'm retired and it's my passion/hobby, but I won't be going to Hillsborough, Elland Road or other grounds who's ticket price is over £30.
If supporters continue to pay these stupid prices, then the clubs will feel vindicated in continuing this pricing strategy.

I don't think I've read those exact comments anywhere? I've seen plenty that have suggested getting a Season Ticket and selling matches you can't go to, and plenty more being outraged at Category A* pricing.

Most of the comments from Season Ticket holders have been about the fact that games vs. last year are not a million miles away from being the same price for a better standard of football, and as yet we haven't actually made a game Category A*.

You haven't done enough reading then. Get yourself on a few Facebook groups as well.

Can see in the next issue of WSB a rant by you about ticket prices both at Oakwell and for away tickets being a good piece so don't let us down now :)

At best I reckon it will be a category C game but there's absolutely zero chance of me going at £30 plus.
FFS it's a league game not a cup final contrary to what the pigs think. I stopped going to the Leeds away match when Bates started charging over £30 and I'll do the same for Wednesday. We've done well at Elland Road but tended to under-perform at Swillsborough anyway so I'll watch the highlights on telly instead.

Wonder if the ones moaning about price increases on match day tickets at oakwell will find the cash to make these expensive away days. Just not paying through nose to go down well.

If home/away are similar prices you are better off going away so you get more for your money by being able to make an whole day of it.

Nice going away for atmosphere especially big games can't see there been much of one at wednesday or Leeds if it's £42 a ticket can't see more than a thousand going. And if you are making a whole day of it 42 + your transport + ale + food over £100 do that 3 times could have bought a season ticket.

I'm not sure how anyone could enjoy a day out/away day knowing you've spent so much money on it.

Football is too expensive for taking the gamble that what you see ends up being value for money. It's not like if you are a fan of a movie franchise and know you are pretty certain to be entertained.

Villa would have been A* if it had been a saturday. Matches that are in that catergory won't be 38 because POTD won't be offered, but will still be 36 quid for an afternoon at Oakwell.

To go to Reading it will be 20 quid so with travel a day out at an away game will be of similar price as a few hours at home.
