Wombwell born but not from Barnsley........................... Wombwell had its own Urban District Council and didn't become part of Barnsley until the Tories created the Met Councils in 1973.
So I wasn't Born in Barnsley.
Before were were dragged into Barnsley we had a lovely Park and Cemetery, and two busy markets.
Wombwell has seen no benefit in being part of Barnsley.
Barnsley looks after itself.
This proud to be from Tarn and passion for the club is a load of B*ll*cks. Its nowt to do with where tha frum. You love the Club or you don't.
I think that makes me a two but my three Children are ones.

Could not disagree with you more I know loads of folk Barnsley born and bred who are supporters but not really that passionate. Lots more who may have been born away but have more feeling and love for the club than most supporters.
No.4 - I was born in Sheffield, brought up and live in Wombwell .... .... a TOWN in it's own right.
I'm as passionate about BFC as the next person.

RE: No.4 - I was born in Sheffield, brought up and live in Wombwell .... To put a finer point on it, my Mother was born and bred in Low Valley, my Dad was born and bred in Wombwell, so no association with Barnsley at all.
1 Born in Pinder Oaks Maternity Hospital, but lived after leaving the hospital just outside Wakefield.
4 for me
AlthoughI could be a 2 as there are a few clubs all about the same distance from where I was brought up (BFC, Hudders, Scum, Donny).
