but if I refused to turn up to 5 meetings about a topic of national Importance and then made some bad decisions too late which I could have made better if I’d attended those meetings, I reckon my gaffer might sack me for incompetence.

And if I was in public office and those screw ups were because I was arsing about in my personal life - the press would have a field day.

I don’t care if he’s a Tory or the messiah. He screwed up and cost lives.
