    That only works the other way round. Players have far too much power now. If they sign a long contract and are rubbish, clubs are stuck with them, paying them often for not playing. If they sign a long contract and do well and attract interest from elsewhere, they want out. It's a win/win for them.

    I would have loved it had he stayed. I was singing his praises on here when many were roasting him.
    However, if we have a player who wants to move on, whats the point in keeping him?

    I don't think players are as desperate to go as gets portrayed sometimes that's all.
