We may have, we may not have. We'll certainly have missed out on significant revenue from matchday tickets and away followings though. Probably around £1m just there. Shame we'll have to wait another year to see the impact.
I can't see why Hull would pay the amount we paid for him given we'd completely frozen him out. Maybe an improved clause on future sale or profit, but I'd expect the initial fee be lower, especially dropping down a league too. But who knows, the information isn't in the public domain.
Wilks went to Hull but came from Leeds. Be interesting to see how he performs in the championship this season.
Hull wanted to sign him at the same time we did, mcann had worked with him before at donny and he still had 3 and a half years left on his deal here.
Your not going to let him go for peanuts either you will want to recoup most if not all of the money you have shelled out for him look at luke Thomas and schmidt we.paid decent for them but will struggle to recoup the fees at the moment so have hung onto them. The rumours were 1.3 million he was sold for after a successful loan spell.
I think with Thomas and Schmidt we've no chance getting anywhere near what we allegedly paid. Wilks, we'll have got something significant, maybe with something conditional linked to them getting promoted too, but if Hull spent £1.3m straight up while in league 1... I just can't see it.
The fee was agreed prior to the loan spell, like I said we could have just kept hold of him he scored plenty and almost kept hull up. They had money from selling there best players in the january window which eventually was there downfall and caused there relegation.
Well neither of us know as it's not officially in the public domain and doubt it will be. Hopefully we clawed as much back as possible and kept the losses minimal.
Hey just think we will probably be doing the exact same thing again next year if our plan is so successful.
