Other than scoring two of the best goals I've seen for quite a while. Plus setting Potts up for his goal against Peterborough. Plus setting up Woodrow with the chance he should have buried at Luton. This is getting a bit like a Monty Python sketch.

He looks better playing against inferior opposition. He may become a championship player in years to come (I don't think he will) but there is absolutely no way he is good enough to play for a top six side at the moment.

OK. I'll leave it there. If you want to know more I'm sure there must be a copy of 'Market Economics For Dummies' in Barnsley library.

Last 3 games he has started
blackpool- teed up Woodrow in the area who shot wide when should have hit the target.
Put a great cross in for moore who had a free header which he headed straight at the keeper.

Charlton- teed up Potts who smashed it in.
    Scored a screamer.

Luton- played Woodrow in with a great ball should have been one nil barnsley.

If that was hammill people would have been creaming. Not as bad as some make out far from it and still 23. All the serial know it all's know he isn't very good because they wrote him off last season.

Doesn't really matter how much has been offered. He's remaining with us.
    Well done our Board.

It might depend on who the bids come from. Would be hard to fight off a top eight championship club but I would be disappointed if we couldn't fight off Preston, Rotherham, Wigan et al. I just can't believe any top six club would want any of our players.

Not sure many people are making out he’s bad - some just think we should sell for €2m euros. Until last few weeks I would have agreed, but he seems to be showing much better levels of form and fitness. Now looks a very dangerous player agains the better clubs.

If we don’t sell him for €2m then that’s a real statement from the club. And can’t see Potts going for any less than double that.

‘He looks better playing against inferior opposition’ That could be said about any player at any level. Indeed, it could be said about any participant/s in any sport.

It's okay selling for 2 million euros who takes his place? Isgrove? Hedges? We should be looking to move those 2 on and keep the players who have got us where we are here.

Disagree. I think he’s looked best against Luton, Charlton and Peterborough. Hope he’s had the kick start he needs.

One thing I think he needs to work on is getting into and finding space in the box more. Can’t rely on 30 yard screamers for all his goals. A few taps ins will help.

I'll look for it. Will it answer the questions you refuse to answer after contradicting yourself.

Half the time he looks like he’s never kicked a ball in his life. Another quarter he shoots from the touch line the other quarter he’s effective. In L1 he’s been better but he couldn’t really be worse than last year. He’s been in and out of the team. A million quid is a lot of money for an ok championship forward/ winger. I’d be happy if he stayed but if we make money could understand selling.

I’m not advocating selling him. I think €2m is a fairly high price for him though, so good to see the board turning it down. Clearly not just about making profit as quickly as they can. Because that’s 4 times what we paid for him.

I agree - would shift out those not close to first team and hopefully bring it better players who can challenge for first 11 spots. The trouble is who would want our fringe players?

Well of course it could. But it wouldn't mean they had actually improved would it? More likely they had found a more suitable level.

The Jury’s still out on Thiam for me. However, if he can continue starting games and creating assists and start scoring more regular, then I’m sure we’ll all be more convinced. He certainly is a work in progress let’s hope he can kick on.

Not necessarily, but you seem to single him out as though it can only happen to him. He’s a young man still learning and living in a foreign country.

I really like Mamadou. Think he adds something very different to us going forward, he has a very good attitude, he looks like he's really starting to settle in here.

But I think even I would sell at €2 million.

Happy that we haven't, though. You Reds.

I agree about the fringe players maybe a low end league 1 side or a league 2 side for hedges. Isgrove is permanently injured so doubt any club would take him. As for thiam yeah it's good to see the owners knocking the bids back and mot just after a quick profit. Just goes to show a player is worth what the other club are willing to pay. 2.5 million and I'd be surprised if we turned it down.
