Yes and that is why he will continue to get my backing. His selection tonight is crazy but he's had the rug pulled out from under him.
The thing is though with selection we are saying player x is terrible might as well give someone else a go. But seen as Hecky works with them everyday maybe he knows the someone else is actually worse. So we have to go with the lesser of two evils. After the Cardiff game everyone was saying how much we missed Moncour. Then he comes back in and is terrible.
9 days ago we played Norwich and should of won it.... To go from that to now where we look like strangers out there isvery worrying. Tactical change by Hecky or just a run of poor form?
True but I don't understand dropping Bradshaw for Ugbo, playing Potts on the wing, leaving Hedges on the bench and playing Moncur and Gardner in the same team after the horror show on Saturday.
Why not play hedges over moncur or whoever meant to be wide? Yiadom keeps getting it at full back has nothing in front of him.
That's possibly the strangest decision. I'm sure Hecky has his reasons but I'm lost trying to understand them.
It seems a poor run of form but coinciding with a seemingly an attitude to not get beat rather than try and win - which seems to be a reaction to our lack of attacking spark
Because he obviously can't trust Hedges either - not saying that Moncur can be trusted either - he has done for me
Quite right but Ugbo for Bradshaw and leaving Hedges on the bench after his cameo on Saturday is strange, as is Moncur and Gardner in the starting XI.
He's got plenty of options it's the biggest squad we'e had in years . His team selections are just weird.
Bradshaw hasn't scored for a while and if the ball isn't in the box offers very little. Tend to agree on Hedges and I think all our centre midfield players are of a similar standard so makes little difference. Really do get where you are coming from I just feel we are in a place where if he made all those changes and we still lost, others would be saying why not give Ugbo a chance. Potts gives us a physical presence. Moncour offers a different option ect. Our lower league players will often look like lower league players. We can change the combinations but we are still picking from the same group.
I agree re: Potts but in the middle. As for Ugbo I just don't think he's ready for championship football so given our lack of options I would stick with Bradshaw.
I don't think he does either was just trying to put some perspective on it. I just don't see the other options as offering anything either. The whole team selection had a look of not having faith in players so wanting extra cover everywhere.
