Thats reyt, forgot ESPN don't have any TV next season. But still, sky have just paid £3.018billion for next year's domestic football contract. Hard to see them going ti.ts up to be honest. And theres the internet aspect of sport still.
You're deffinately right about that. I know it's only an estimate, but out 'commercial' revenue is shocking. Needs to be adressed.
It's an estimate built from the end of year accounts that were submitted so they are there or thereabouts. http://twitter.com/SwissRamble/status/321544081618649089/photo/1 He's done one for wages as well.. Twitter handles @swissramble.
The towel's been thrown in re marketing Didn't they sack the last Marketing manager? Have we even got one these days? It seems to me that we have one bloke stuck in the 1960's running everything at the club which can't be right. I reckon they've chalked f*ck on any marketing ideas given that all the rights to the club shop sales, internet shopping, catering etc have been sold off. There's no chance anyone's even bothered about "SWEATING THE ASSETS" to nick the previous owners comments.
Re: The towel's been thrown in re marketing How have Peterborough made considerably more than us on the matchday figure? Their attendance ave is about 2000 lower than us this year
Re: The towel's been thrown in re marketing Definitely take all that with a pinch of salt to be honest, the match day and tv revenue is probably about right...commercial and debt I reckon is miles off.
Re: The towel's been thrown in re marketing The debts right as its from the published accounts. As is the turnover excluding parachute payments. So by your logic with TV streams and match day being correct then the remainder would be "commercial" As for Peterboro last season getting higher match day figures I can only assume that's based on the fact BFC's match day is mostly based around season ticket sales whereas peterboro will also be backed up with a huge number of match day tickets sold...
Re: The towel's been thrown in re marketing It might include other match day revenue too, which we don't have as it's all outsourced. Our contracts will be in the 'commercial' category won't it?
