I've taken a great interest in Barnsley F.C throughout the years buying season tickets and investing interest in past players futures.

In my humble opinion they're turning into Rich Fuddy Duddy F.C.

The main problem is finding a competent Head Coach, Assistant. Maybe followed by Goal keeper, right back, right centre back, left centre back and left back.

Not an easy task. Then move into midfield.

Right winger, right centre midfield, left centre midfield and left winger. Preferably players that can pass, tackle and shoot. I appreciate it's difficult but endeavour wins you plaudits.

Then finally two strikers that know a camels arse and a banjo when they see them.

I think then you have the building blocks for a successful football club.

The first - non-existent tracking back of Humphrys and Russell wakes up to danger too late.
The second, Mccarthy out of position, Russell no pace might as well not bother, two others running but not following their free man, just chasing back.
Third, dunno, our back line seems to be in their half which never bodes well due to lack of pace.
Fourth, a bit of a scramble.

It will certainly be interesting to see who Phillips ends up signing for. Clearly has ability, but goes missing too often. Certainly not the type you’d want with you in a scrap. In my opinion.

Blame Russell partly he was slow to track back for the 1st but **** me who's the defender who puts a foot out and should have blocked it and the goalkeeping wow

He did but again that was in there half there's still alot of work to be done or should be to score.

There 1st Humphrys can't be arsed following the man poor attempt to block by the defender the keeper what is he doing?

The 2nd where all over the place the man were good at getting forward today but players so slow to get back. If I was conor get them in watch these goals back.

Connell also gets away with one 1st half where he let's the ball bounce loses it and there man dinks it past flavell and it hits the post.

    Shocking stuff.

Conceded 3 in 8 minutes. Absolutely diabolical. DKD scores such a class goal and he must wonder why he even bothers.

I’d have saved the first tbf and I’m 60. Poor goalkeeping….

You could see how pissed off he was when we conceded the 2nd and looking at the 1st and 2nd goals I don't blame him.

He tried to save it with his feet and it was hardly a stinger of a shot.

Agreed the last 25 minutes was the stuff of nightmares and whatever we recruit in the summer it must include proper athletic players who can run both ways unlike your Phillips and Russell’s of this world who just disappeared when the going got tough.

That is absolutely disgraceful. For me we could bin them all off and start again and yes that includes Roberts. However that will be tricky when Earl, Roberts, MDG, Cotter and O Keefe will still be under contract. It could take until summer 2026 to sort this mess out.

I like the lad, know him personally, but he could have done more for at the very least 2 of those goals. Hes only young and inexperienced, but he certainly needs to work on coming out and catching crosses into box. A good few today could have been caught or atleast punched away but, understandably, given, again, his age, he hesitated.

The headline for me yesterday was the lack of any semblance of shape to the side. We seemed to have multiple players completely out of position whenever Orient countered. Players running from positions they shouldn't have been to positions they should, but never quite arriving in time. Shape, shape, shape. It's really basic, Ladybird book 1a stuff, and the players should know this. Without any kind of shape or structure, even the good sides would struggle; with our motley collection of triers, we don't stand a chance. Needs rebuilding from the ground up.

Must admit at 2-0 up I thought oh dear. Didn’t see the score again until 4-3 down and just laughed. Best way to deal with it.

yet we have given a 2yr deal to someone that’s overseen this whole issue all season. This improvement in performances is also bollacks - it’s a results business and he’s not getting them either.
