We'll he should be over here having to watch those appalling Numan adverts for floppy willies.
Embarrassing at tea time to be reminded that " He can't get a hard on !!!"

Delayed toss because of rain, so it won't start on time. Can never rely on Australian weather....

Just half hour so toss half 11 and start at midnight. Bairstow was interviewed and said it's cold. I had a look and it says 16 degrees so by Australian summer standards it's not the warmest morning and it's overcast. I would still bat first though to get runs on the board and hopefully show some fight.

11 years ago in Melbourne, we won toss and bowled first ending up with an innings win.
Maybe role reversal today as conditions can change so quickly so I read.

Trott got a big score then

Team looks more balanced, openers need to dig in and put away anything wide. Try and put the bowlers under pressure. If they bowl 10 maidens so be it. They and the crowd will tire.
These next 3 tests need to be an audition for the next season and beyond. Fail and get cut.

Doubt they'll make it to 50. The pitch looks ridiculously green.

Agreed. Silverwood's job on the line here as should be Ashley Giles.

They have started with Gower and Taylor to avoid using the Fox coverage with Vaughan on there. Funnily enough Sky don't care about Vaughan on their own coverage as he's done a few Big Bash games.

Green top not different to May in county championship. Watch the ball, don't play anything just outside the line.
Straight and cover drives to anything overpitched. Leave the rest, bowlers hate charging in to good defence. Especially modern bowlers. Would love to see an Aussie team out their for 140 overs.

No run in 10 balls and no fifty in his last nine competitive innings for someone batting at one.

    Poor.

Our openers can't even get to double figures without losing a wicket, pathetic. Watch these losers cave in again.
