There are better players out there. Both our openers were walking wickets. Aussie conditions need watchful playmakers 1-6. The ball dies after 20 overs. It's not bloody hard. I'm 41 and an ex bowler but I'd quite enjoy fending em off until the ball becomes a pile of *****.
creepy needs dropping after that flash alone, no doubt the yorky lads will shine some light in another tonking
It's Sooty, izzy whizzy bats! Get your weight behind a defensive shot. Don't flail and flap at it. Cook, Strauss, Trott, KP, Prior and Bell got over the ball. They slapped and drove it, we're whafting it. 2010 Aussies did that that's why we nailed em. Full bowling, get behind it, it's not hard.
Hameed's got this backward trigger movement and then reaches out for the ball. He needs to play it under his nose. I actually like him, think he's got some strengths, but you can't be playing that far in front of your body
We should have had a sweepstake as to when we would hit our first boundary. It's the sixth over and we still haven't seen one.
Bye bye Chris Silverwood Bye bye Jon Lewis Bye bye Graham Thorpe Bye bye Ashley ******* Giles Bye bye Root (should have the captaincy taken off him) None of the above can survive this series, its an absolute **** show and changes are needed.
The most annoying thing is we're not even making the Aussie bowlers work that hard. They just know we will give our wickets away.
No positivity at all. I don't expect them to treat it as a T20 but you've got to show some intent and less than two runs an over and no boundaries after eight overs is lacking imagination. Move the scoreboard along to give them something to think about.
If you play so negative you go too slow you always run the risk of a good ball getting you out. We cannot keep relying on these two go get us out of trouble.
I'd rather our batters applied themselves and spent time at the crease, the scoring will take care of itself. First innings has to be 350-400 minimum. Problem is our lot want to feel bat on ball Whereas Smith and Labuschange are great at leaving the ball. They also don't let the number of dot balls affect them.
