RE: Very unlikely all season ticket holders will take 4 each. Even so it's stupid, it means that non-s/ticket holding regulars are in a mad panic trying to find someone who would be able to get a ticket for them.
Not only that but it is bound to create large queues again in order to get the best seats because if you wait till the second day then all the good ones could have gone. This time the bloke going down with 20 books could be walking away with 80 tickets. Mad rush created for nothing
that wouldn't work.............. they will sell in blocks like Cardiff so if you had to go back later the block would have sold out
Probably, But I cant see us selling 30,000 tickets Glad ive got a season ticket though Dan Rowling ought to get the sack if he cocks this one up
based on what they have now? 1: 2 per season ticket holder (or even 3) 2: 2 per centenary ticket holder 3: 1 for anyone attending tomorrow night 4: general sale
RE: If you are worried and a non ST holder with no mates aye just what i thought st holder for 17 years did i get a liverpool ticket did i **** but how many non st holders got one sorry but its the st holders who will deffo get one this time but i have 2 books and will only buy 2 tickets
I think we'll easily sell 30000 tickets, the bandwagon is filling up quickly I know loads of people that are wanting to go, a lot of em their last 2 games were Cardiff and Wembley. I'm sure we took well over 30000 to Wembley last time, and now it's the new Wembley everybody wants to go.
thats why he said wait and queue with their 4 friends if they CHOSE not to take 2 tickets. its all about choice, the way it has been done now the choice has been taken away from most people
Hang on - I am not saying I agree with the scheme Just thats what it is. The club is trying to ensure a sell out. Time will tell if they have done the right thing this time All I have done is suggest a couple of options to ensure a ticket instead of just moaning. I would be happy with 2 per ST holder but can see why the club has made it 4 I really really hope that for next season a proper loyalty scheme is in place to ensure that regular fans get tickets should we have a similar scenario next season. Regarding Ipswich tickets - different situation to the Colchester game in that the Season Ticket holders cant take all the seats - there should still be some left even if every one takes all 4 It at least gives some fans a chance to move up the queue by supporting the team. better than nothing
Anybody with o-level marketing... ... could work out that selling tickets for upcoming home games and including those people in a category would generate a fortune and increase attendances.
RE: I think we'll easily sell 30000 tickets, the bandwagon is filling up quickly How many tickets did we have for Wembaly last time? I am posative there were spare seats
Should Sell Pretty Easily I know of many none Barnsley fans who want to spend the day cheering on the super reds
But we can sell at the turnstiles If you want 80 tickets thats a lot of cash probably up to £4000 - cant see too many taking that much cash to the ground with them. I'd expect queues to be similar to the ones for Cardiff sales- big to start with but then fall off fairly quickly
RE: If you are worried and a non ST holder with no mates I wouldn't have a go at any season ticket holder who took up 4 tickets. I've never complained about who they as indiviuals choose to give them to either. It's entirely the down to the club.
yeah but the problem is that I don't know what other people are going to do, how do I know that 6,000 season ticket holders arent all going to go and buy 24,000 seats on the first day leaving me with just the scraps? people are bound to rush on the first day because they'll be worried that the best seats will go with people buying 4 at a time
Ideal World? I'd have started by sacking Don Rowing and then taken it from there. The supporters trust actually got all my ideas when they asked for them earlier on. Ask them what they think should happen.
