RE: So there's 4 spare seats behind me now? Not you then mate. We were in MM 90 to 93. Moved on same row to around 57 or 58. Not sure which exactly, my dad and son went for them.
RE: actually huddersfield double barnsley's population so in respect Where do you get that from? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huddersfield http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnsley Barnsley is a lot bigger than people think.
er don't get this so hudds pop = 146k and barns pop = 72k and yet u question the remark that hudds is double pop of barns HELP
RE: er don't get this 72k is the town centre area's population. Are you saying that because I live in Wombwell, I don't live in Barnsley?
but this is comparing the town pop. what about the borough of huddersfield which would then still be larger than the borough of barnsley. huddersfield is much, much larger than barnsley. it is one of the largest towns in britain.
i dont care what you say the two do not compare it's like saying why do leeds or sheffield wednesday or even sheffield utd last season sell more tickets than wigan when wigan are in the premiership.
like I said last week........Barnsley FC have lost the initiative A decent signing a couple of weeks after Cardiff and this would have kept the momentum rolling. But what have we had so far Loss of McPhail and the failure to get Chopra (even though we realise they were much too expensive) And To talk about Foster and a kid from Man U. And then lose out on both. Plus all the uncertainties about re-signing the current squad To sum up - Its all been bad news from the WELL since we got promotion. Talking to the fans now, there dosen't seem to be any optimism for the coming season PS. Population of Barnsley c230k........Population of Huddersfield c275k
Not really because unless some russian comes in and we have millions to spend i do not believe for one moment there is a player we can sign within our financial grasp that would attract huge number of fans, if for example we sign some new players and we start well then yes more fans will come but they will wait and see how we do before they make there mind up about coming to watch! Plus what does it say about fans that will only come if we do well or sign box office players? glory grabbers? are tyhese the ones that will moan at games and not get behind the team? I honestly believe that there is not a player realistically we could have signed straight after the playoffs to boost our attendances, if your a fan you will come no matter who is playing for the reds, no matter what division is that not what a fan is about supporting your team no matter what? if 5 out of 7 out of contract players sign is that a disaster, when it looks like we cannot afford the other 2? Any team that has so many players out of contract will get a few players who leave, it is natural! As for signings what i wil say is that no one mentioned foster or johnson on here before AR mentioned them, all we can do is speculate about who we are after, even though they turned us down (1 close to where he has lived all his life established championship club, one to play 1st team albeit a lower division) does that mean we are not after anyone else or going to sign anyone? How would we know anyway we didn't know about the other 2 until BFC told us!
