That’s true but he never had a win % as low as 6. I don’t really rate him as a manager and wanted him gone towards the end of the 10 game run. But Schopp is in a different category of bad Only Spackman and McSeveney are even close but Schopp is a level worse.
Don't forget Mawson, Bree, Roberts, Fletcher, Ivan Toney, Brownhill, Ben Pearson, Scowen, Isgrove and White (before injuries ruined their careers). It was possibly the strongest squad you'll ever see in League 1. An embarrassment of riches. Winning the league by fewer than 10 points was probably the realistic benchmark for underachievement, let alone losing 8 on the spin and being in the relegation zone in December. Yet some people inexplicably defend the clown.
By far the worst manager in my time of following the Reds. I can't even bring myself to go or even listen to it. I just know we're going to lose. Spackman won 7 in 9 once upon a time. How long would we have to keep Schopp for him to win 7? He's lucky to even have 6% and I think anyone who went to that incredible 1-0 back in August would agree.
