You mean pre season inactivity

on Holiday and all that good stuff. The existing squad deserves a chance type stuff?

no, I think he means all the players that Andy Ritchie tried to sign

but for some reason couldn't bring in.

now you see you have the advantage over me as whilst my surname is a french word, I have the command of french that would make the policeman on 'ello 'ello seem fluent.

    Any bets ?

I am thinking of going a fiver us to beat Derby.

I would also offer the 0-0 nad 1-1 in that but high scoring draws would be mine.

I am hoping Davey will bow to fan pressure and go out and try and win a game for once instead of hoping not to lose.

Would you be taking said bet?

I will partake of said bet as I believe that the manager that was to 'shore up the defence' will have done so, therefore we will only conceed the normal three goals. (cue virtual handshake)

    aye

unfortunately you dont have and will never have a shred of real evidence to prove it was GS or the board that blocked AR from making signings. But its OK to keep stating it as fact.

If by "bigger club" you mean bigger than Sheff Utd

that would mean everyone sold it out!

Oh and when we were in the Prem as well we were selling out and only giving 2,000 to away fans - thats what happens when people crawl out of the woodwork.

There's plenty of evidence. You just choose to ignore it.

Why did Darren Ward go on the IOM trip and then leg it like a scalded cat?

Why did Foster take a week to turn down our offer before going elsewhere?

The obvious answer is the money offered, you may have an alternative answer but if there is then no-one has ever come out and said it.

    RE: aye

These are just the attempts by Andy Ritchie to sign player that ever made it far enough to be confirmed by the official site pre season there's probably more attempts that didnt make it far enough to warrant going on the site too.

darren ward - keeper - failed
Stephen Foster - defender - Failed
    Unnamed player - failed
Eddie Johnson - striker - Failed
Jay Tabb - midfielder - failed
Peter Whittingham - midfielder - failed

Darren Ward got the chance to may be get in to the Premiership with Sheff U.

Foster wanted to stay closer to home due to bereavement in family.

    Next!

    I think

We have a better chance v Derby than Birmingham. We outbattled them for 70 minutes at Pride Park and apart from the super sub didn't have much to worry us up front.

How do you know such personal details about the reasons? nt

    Derby seem to...

struggle quite a bit in front of their own supporters anyway. Plenty of odd goal wins and draws at home after falling behind. Our game against them was a perfect example of that. Therefore on this occasion, turning it into a home game for them might be the best tactic!

Because on the open day there was an interview asking why Foster had decided not to come. That was the answer. Darren Ward is common knowledge that he went to Sheff Utd - or are you disputing that too?
