You must have been at a different game yesterday Hemsie. It was shocking from start to finish. Absolutely garbage.
We all seem to be waiting fpr something that may happen He is a nice guy but his lack of tactical nounce let him down He seems to need a target to gain impetus in what he does ie last jan - keep us up etc With time to think and plan he seems to lack direction Probably a great #2 Opinions eh ! Hope you are all well. Went to see Ian Macmillan at Aldburgh poetry festival last night He had the locals in stitches with storys of our prem season.
Sounds a good time. I'm glad it's not me with the responsibility of deciding the fate of the current manager & selecting his possible replacement. If Flitcroft goes, his successor will certainly not be met with universal approval, whoever it may be.
It's exactly the same for anyone who defends the club and management. It's called a difference in opinion. Some people do go too far with it, but I just pity them.
Given the quality of opposition I put it in our worst couple of performances. Not as bad as Watford and as my feet weren't quite as cold slightly better than Bournemouth away. Other than that I'd say we have not played worse.
The simple answer to your question is because of the way the posts are made. The people who come on to "slate the manager " (your words) aren't being at all constructive and that doesn't make for a reasoned debate. Its all very we'll to come on and demand change but where is your better alternative to say nothing of the fact that by again your own words you wanted to sack Flicker after around 2 months forgetting the great work he did last season. That sort of attitude doesn't win any friends
personally I thought yesterday was very, very 'ordinary' went down really looking forward to the game but left feeling very let down. For me the game was crying out for us to up the tempo, its all very well knocking the ball about from man to man but we invariably seem to be hoping for something to happen rather than making something happen. Too often when we are moving forward there's nobody in the danger areas for us and for those who said at least we kept a clean sheet well I don't think we would have against better strikers because they missed some very good chances. To be honest I don't think changing the manager is a good idea as it stands but can totally see where the one's who do want a change are coming from. For example yesterday in a game we really wanted to win was Dawson really the change to make?, not saying he's a bad player but he's not a match changer, and that's the point really Flicker keen and nice as he is just doesn't seem to want to 'go for it' in fact he seems unable to change very much in real time match play. I suppose we are unbeaten in four but lets keep in mind we nearly managed to chuck the Boro match away, we only managed half a match worth of decent stuff in the next two and as I've said already (IMHO) we were very ordinary yesterday.
People slating manager/team, complaining about being slated, whatever next burglars complainng about their victims not leaving door open
