I desperately want to see this Izzy Brown corner (vs Rovrum) that everyone is so riled about. What did he do? Kick it 100 yards into his own goal?

They really are up the creek without a paddle. There's an interesting thread on Owlstalk about the impact of the ground sale. I'd be seriously worried about the future of the club if I supported Wednesday.

This, in particular, from "Grandad" sounds bleak...

Additionally - the Chairmans commitment to paying for Hillsborough at £7.5m a year until its paid off.



Essentially this is another financial commitment for Mr Chansiri that he is legally committed to (which I hadn't considered until today).

So - with a £5m loss of TV money from relegation
A £7.5m commitment to pay the club for the stadium
A £6.5 loan repayment to pay off

Thats a £20m summer Mr Chansiri has to look forward to before we have signed a single player.

(But with a £3m payment due to him from the club to Sheffield 3 Limited for stadium rent.)

Basically Bannan who usually takes the corners was subbed off the pitch. With a couple of minutes to go he won a corner, ran in to take up a position nearer the goal but no one else went to take the corner so he went back to take it, was a poor hit and Rotherham capitalised with the Ladapo goal in the last minute.

 

I've just watched it. Not sure why the kid is getting hammered, that would probably be in my "Top 5 Best Corners" under Gerhard Struber. It was a poor corner but generally poor play all over the pitch followed by a world class finish.
