Chippy in Grimey used to be £2.15 before it got took over and they put between 50p and a pound on everything. Was gorgeous too! Got loads.
Gary's in the old Magnet pub...are decent and at £3.70 a good price..Plus they don't over-face ya, just normal portions..
I like to be able to get fish and chips with a tub of curry and a can of dandelion and burdoch for a fiver or less.
I've had a look, Woody's takeaway in the town centre is open so think I'm going to nip through there, completely gone off traditional Sunday lunch.
Just sitting down to some fish and chips at the moment. The chippy I was talking about originally will be open late may. no phone ha ha !
Envious! Have a chippy run by turkish people and for an ok fish (though you can't just say fish and chips in London, have to actually state what fish... barmy!) and ok chips it's £7.80. The fancy "sea cow" on the Lane is around £10 (though you actually pick the fish you want from a cabinet and they cook it to your liking) and the best place about a mile from me is around £9. The best ones though tend to be in the local pubs where you are talking £11-13... but you do get double cooked chips! still not the same as up north though... travesty
You need to tell your dad he needs to give you more pocket money sunshine ! £3 !!!!! Bloody cheap skate
