I find Butland alreight, but I wouldn't say he's better than Steele, I'd say he's on par wi him. He's not really done much to show he's better than Steele... Or even warrant a place in World Cup squad that he's after. No chance of him going to Brazil IMO.

Some of is shot stoppings been amazing.
He comes out and punches or catches.
If you can go back and watch the highlights on Barnsley player, go back and watch the Charlton match. That'll show you the difference between them then go back and say watch the highlights to the Sheffield Wednesday game.

Well you have obviously watched both more than I have so I bow to your superior knowledge.
I always thought that although Steele's shot stopping was good his positioning at times was questionable.

i don't think there's much in them, and IMO butland is a million miles away from that england #1 shirt. he flaps at most aerial balls and gets rooted to his goal line far too often. i'd be more than happy with steele as our #1 . there just happens to be one or two of our fans, who have taken a feverish dislike to him.

Don't forget though Phil its the same Butland who conceded 5 against us last season...I'm not yet convinced he's better than Steele..the jury is still out for me.... I can't see him ever playing for England at full international level on what I've seen.
Burnley have four of the best players in the division currently,Ings,Vokes,Kightly and Trippier, and arguably one of the best managers.
and Blackpool's incredible run of luck seems to have come to an end,my guess is that they could go into freefall, unless Ince does turn out to be a good manager after all.

It's not taking a disliking to him but it's embarrassing going to the games and looking at the two Goalkeepers and thinking they have the better one.
With Butland I haven't thought of that once.
And Supertyke, everyone will make a mistake one in 10/15 game. Every Goalkeeper. Even the best like de gea and lloris

Nar. Ings isn't even the best England u21 striker in the league. Wickhams way better.
Part from Trippier who's one of the best in the league the others aren't up there.
I went to Turf moor when Barnsley played them last and didn't think they were that good.
Leicester yes, when you look at there team and left there ground I though, yes good team.

a confident, injury free luke steele, without 4 fcuktards in front of him, is one of the strongest keepers in the championship.

Same players, 1.7 plus goals less per game.
Theres a reason for it, one person. I'll mention it again. Go back and look at the Charlton game, both of them goals could have been eliminated if steele was the keeper people are making out.

I'm not, I did the stats last week and it might be 1.2 now with him only conceding Lukes AVG for one game over his last 3

If we're taking individual games, like you are doing with the Charlton match, we need only go back as far as the weekend to see a howler from Butland.

They're both good keepers. They both make errors. Why you want to constantly run down one of our players, highlighting his every mistake, while ignoring everything good he has ever done is just beyond my comprehension. Particularly as you do the exact opposite with players you like. I don't understand why you would want to do it. It's alien to me and a really unattractive quality.

none of that confirms or proves that jack butland is a significantly better goalkeeper than a confident, injury-free luke steele. i could just as easily point you to the absolute horror show of a goalkeeping error from butland against yeovil.

I wish our squad was as bad as the Burnley one.
