Another Norwich fan quote "We never seem to do things simply these days. First our attempt to take Lambert from Colchester eventually went to a tribunal. We also have one to sort out the compensation with Villa for Lambert again. Rangers apparently aren't happy with the Whittaker deal or something like this and now a similar thing appears to be happening with Butterfield.
I would imagine that they have offered a maximum £500k and, by the sound of it, possibly less. I would think that a good deal for us would be £2 million, a fair deal £1.5million and an a mediocre deal £1 million. If the Norwich offer is significantly less, we are right to hold out for a figure nearer the proper amount. It can only be good for us and Jacob is a current U-21 international.
That'll be it, as I say, I only thought it was Liverpool. Either way they got a fair whack for him, maybe it was it his name which pulled a bigger fee?
No-one else concerned by Keef's soundbite of receiving an offer "considerably less than 500k"? Why draw attention to that figure? Is that all we are happy with?
