I said that time and location can be fiddled but guessed that the Portuguese police will **** it up. You'd not made any comment about the police getting away with it until I pointed out that if they were as usueless as you claimed they would probably botch that up as well. You still haven't grasped that they don't necessarily need DNA evidence as proof of guilt, or indeed innocence.

"Brit loather" - or just taking the view that it is possible that the parents are not innocent, regardless of nationality of anyone involved. There's a kid gone missing, possibly killed, here, so every potential suspect has to be investigated and that includes the parents.
