Turnbull has got one hell of a kick on him though.

Then we might get 2 shots on target per game.

I can only echo what manchesterred and Connor have said - we didn't really get into it for the first 10 minutes but after that I thought we gave a good account of ourselves until the first goal and after that it was thanks to Turnbull that things didn't end up much worse as we seemed to lose all coherence. On the other hand he should stop taking quick kicks in the general vicinity of Kiwomya and hoping he's going to control it and beat his man to score because I can tell you now that's never going to happen.

I thought Big Jean was one of our better players again and Lalkovic had some good moments. It was hard on Phenix to bring him into the game when it had already gone and I'm not sure that's going to do much for his confidence.

On the personal front it was good to see a few familiar faces, including some I've not seen for a while, and I have to grudgingly admit I don't mind the ground as modern efforts go. Fate conspired against me getting a pre-match pint but I've made up for that this evening so we're good.

First half was a none event, two extremely poor teams who did little between them. Was like watching the game in slow motion with the lack of quality. Second half we started quite well then I turned to my girlfriend and said 'we look decent here, they'll score in a minute' and they did. Then it could have been any score really, we never looked like creating a chance and Turnbull was MOTM by a mile. I'm not really sure how we were trying to play today, I think we set up for a point and failed but there was no pattern in play and it was just a matter of time before MK got it together. The first goal was very soft and I missed the second as I was on twitter due to complete boredom.

Just back now, most has been covered already. Awful 1st half. MK Dons dominated the second save for the opening ten mins where we looked lively. They could and should have had four or five, training session for them the last fifteen minutes. One up front does not work for us, especially when the lad in question is rather immobile and has only three professional games under his belt. Kiyomya looks anything but ready for League One football, whilst Lalkovic looked handy but had no support. The midfield was non-existent. Thing is, our attack today consisted of a young kid from Stoke and a young kid from Chelsea, plus another youg kid who's hardly had any experience to note. Zero experience there, with a midfield behind providing no tangible support. I sat there and honestly couldn't see us even creating half a chance, never mind converting the required two! Worrying times. I don't mind seeing a young side, but there's limits. To me, Oates could do what Waring does and Nana could provide the same threat as Kiyomya. That would free up money and a squad place for a more experienced loanee.

By the way, what a soulless morgue Stadium MK is! Makes the Ricoh seem vibrant. Fair play it looks nice and the seats were plush, but apart from the spirited efforts of about 60 Barnsley lads, it was surreally quiet.

Cheers samba, wellsie et al. It's a concern. It's not just the odd result against top teams, going against us. Consistently failing to be competitive for long spells. Formation, possession, attacking intent all feels miles away from where i'd expect at this stage of the season. Now two points from the drop zone, with no immediate signs of the improvement people are hoping for..

Agree with samba tyke . Oates could do same as waring and nana same as kiowomya . At least they would be getting experience and are our players . Pearson looks good in midfield but was overrun with no support from berry etc . Need our key players back ASAP to climb up table
