it doesnt make sense that a 21-22 year old can improve and learn new skills?

    No...

That a 21 year old who is nowhere near as good as a bloke who is only 1 year older has more potential.

Don't forget that most people never reach their potential and Tommy could well be one of these people</p>

    So now you are saying...

Keep him because he might never reach his potential?

I take your point, but I have to say if either player displays talents that simply can not be taught, it's Paul Hayes. He has technique and vision that he will have had from playing schoolboy football.

Tommy Wright to me is doing well to make the most of what he has, which is not very much. Don't get me wrong I would love him to prove me wrong and score 20 goals next season and go on to become a proven striker, I just can't see it.

some people think that talent comes with experience..if thats true wright needs to play more to improve his game

    RE: ...

Talent and experience are in no way linked. Raw talent can be developed and maximised with experience, but if I played 500 premiership games and got 50 England caps, I would still be crap!

But you would also be very rich, anyway lacking talent never stopped Carlton Palmer from becoming an England player.:pff :pff :pff :pff

    RE: ...

Yes, but my point is that there has to be a cut-off point at which a player is not worth playing to develop his talent as they don't posses enough talent. IMO I think this applies to Tommy Wright, hope i'm wrong.
