I may not be intelligent in the more formal way but I am "spelling and grammar intelligent".

    And if you weren't careful

You could easily end up in the pub in three seconds flat on the way down!

    Coach & Horses

The only pub I weren't bothered about was the one opposite from the college, forget it's name.

    Re: Coach & Horses

Friendship.. One of my regular lunch time haunts along with table 4 in the victory club. That was in the day when a dinner hour was a dinner hour, not a sarnie sat at your desk whilst working on you computer.

    Friendship, that's it

I've loved life, on the whole, since retiring & going to uni. I certainly don't miss the nights weekends in the Transport Dept.!

    Re: Friendship, that's it

For all the fun and games, most of the time it was boring as f*ck, we had **** equipment to work with, crap places to work and there was next to naff all to do? Im still on the treadmill, but i probably do more in a day now than I did in a week at the steelworks.

    Naff all to do?

That's certainly not how I remember it in the Wages Dept.. However, like I said earlier, it's the people & the craic I miss, not the work.

Well don't forget I worked in the place where they sent the lame, sick and lazy. The work was there, just no one to push you to do it.
