He used to manage their U11's. 2 of my best players left to join Bingley, he offered to help me by swapping them for 2 lads who couldn't get a game for their 3rd team! One of the dads gave a speech saying they were moving on to a bigger club and were now too good to play for us. Thing is, we were in an A league at the time Bingley were in a B league! He did pretty much the same to Myrtle Park too. Mind you,I still chuckle at them struggling along mid-table in the B league now. I'll give him due though , he talks a good game, just too desperate to win.
RE: He used to manage their U11's. With a change of leadership, I'm sure Eldwick could be an attractive proposition and attract more and better players. I'd prefer Tom to play for the village. The top men just don't seem bothered. Clique ! I still chuckle at the meetings I attended last year.
I hope it turns round, but at the end of the day I just want my lad to play and enjoy football.
"At the end of the day" ...... ! ! .............. Christ, I could be a manager ?

Jack is in the opposite class. Another one. Kehinde turned up at a tournament to see one of our players playing for Bingley and said 'I see your poaching players again?' Pete denied it and said the lad had played for Bingley all along ( I think he'd forgotten Kehinde used to help me!). He's pathetic.
Never knew that. As I say, but of a revolution at Eldwick and I'm sure the tables could easily be turned.
Eldwick is a more attractive proposition all around. Just needs the top people to market it that way.

Not much! £3k spent on kit - publicity received none
£450 from B&B for U6's - publicity received none
Giveusbackourfootcall initiative - publicity received none
the list goes on.
I don't go to the meetings anymore and the Chairman doesn't speak to me. They didn't like being told.
