I do agree mate and track and trace has identified lots of the folk who were out. There are quite a few pubs now involved as people had as normal did a pub crawl. Although not all will be infected just their details have been monitored. My daughter lives in Shetland which “was” Covid free. Apparently one reveller flew home to Shetland over the weekend and a few were on the boat. Maybe putting other passengers at risk. It’s quite easy to see how this virus can get very quickly out of control.
There's plenty we can do. Last week my Niece went to a theme park, Hemsworth water park, had a drink and a meal in Ackworth and Monk Bretton. She also took her child to McDonald's?
Feels like every week since May we have been told "give it 2 weeks and the deaths will come from (insert event) and still the numbers fall to now negligible amounts in context of usual death rates. The last 5 weeks we are below the 5 year average death rate. Testing has been scaled up enormously and patients in hospitals have dropped dramatically. Keep reading about everyone ignoring the rules, but the lockdown is why deaths are down. Which is it.
If you can work from home long term then could the job be done from abroad? Somewhere say where the wages are lower. Just a thought.
He’s a bit of a ****, even ignoring the fact that he’s got an ulterior motive to be ignoring the virus and for the country “get back to normal”. He’s been spouting dangerous ‘statistics’ from the beginning and severely undermining efforts to get the pandemic under control.
I’m saying the ‘processor’ Is a duplicitous grifter taking advantage of people concerns about illness. A thoroughly reprehensible human being.
I know next to nothing about the guy apart from hes involved in private cancer care, which I'm guessing has taken a huge hit. But whatever his motivations it doesn't make the point about extra testing wrong. We have gone from huge reporting of deaths to huge reporting of cases, without pointing out that deaths have dropped dramatically. That should be the headline for me.
Presenteeism is one of the curses of poor managers. Give me x amount of work to do and a deadline, and let me organize my work to do it. I will do it on time if that means working later one evening or over the weekend. I can do that from anywhere, not some arbitrary distance from the office. So, why can't I live in Ireland, Spain or even Australia provided I do the work to the required standards? I've said this before, but I'm never going to work for a company again that expects me to attend an office more than once a flood - although I do expect to go to client sites with less frequency than before. If that is "Professor" Karol Sikora, then the first word of his title is a lie - he was sued by Imperial College for claiming to be a professor there. He *might* be a professor from a private university (Buckingham) but that is uncertain.
Who said you can't go to the pub. You can - nobody is stopping you. However, you probably can't go to several pubs, drinking pints in each and completely forgetting the social distancing when you are pissed - that is no longer an option and won't be for a long time. BTW if your only method of enjoying yourself is to go to several pubs and drink as much as you can, then perhaps you ought to seriously reconsider your lifestyle choices before your liver does it for you.
A few months ago someone put a quote on here from some professor about cancer/covid. So I did a little bit of research and lo and behold found out he was a main player within a private cancer treatment centre. As a consequence of this research I started to get adverts from said cancer treatment centre on my Facebook. I put a bit of a flippant remark on and the response was something like.... 'hi thanks for contacting us. If you want to know our prices drop us another line'. Nice.
It's interesting that when daily infections are announced how basic the information is. For example over 800 today so people will panic because the MSM as usual is all over it despite it not resulting in a increase in deaths. Yet I suspect the large majority of cases are young healthy people who didn't have symptoms.
I know wanting to buy a season ticket to watch the reds in championship but unsure if anyone will be able to watch a game next season. Do I shell the money out and **** about getting it back or wait...
I honestly cannot see football opening to the public anytime soon. And if it does possibly with lots of social distancing. But would I really want to take the chance? It’s concerning.
If you work in the following industries:- High Street Retail Hospitality bus/Train driver train/bus station staff Tourism Further education Building trade Commercial property management Lending High Street banking Estate agents Car sales and maintenance Non essential public sector Computing Food manufacturing Online sales eg Asos Supermarket retail Just off the top of my head.. you should be shitting brick because a large percentage of those are ****** come the end of furloughs and subsidies. These new industries better turn up pretty damn quick as regardless of "changing and adapting" you cant do that out of thin air.
It's okay flu and other diseases dont exist anymore. We cant carry on like this. As we all know theirs something that dont add up for it to go on this long.
Blame the virus not the spin merchants. This Government is crap but it is responding to something unprecedented. The NHS is struggling because of said Governments previous policies but, even then, it is this nasty fricking virus. It needs shooting. It's a complete twa.t. We need a vaccine of some sort, even if it is only partly effective.
