if we go down (not saying we will) would you want the new manager sacked at the end of the season?

Just give the new manager a contract till the end of the season with option for another season, if we go down we just start again.

Anybody would think you'd just won the lottery. The club is in disarray and you're using words like absolutely brilliant and very very happy. Chump.

Ok. Id classify 'done summat' with improving both the clubs results and also the playing squad with a view to moving forward. For example the job Rosler did at Brentford. He built the base of a squad there which gave them the ability to move forward like they have whilst still maintaining good form at the time.

You're aware that Rosler's budget at Brentford was the biggest in the league by a fair margin.

One of the worst decisions ever made at Oakwell was to bring him back, been an absolute shambles on the pitch from start to finish. I bet I could count the decent performances I've seen on one hand under him and I haven't missed a game since his return.

Utter boring mindnumbing dross hes served us up , been utterly clueless

I'd have given him until the end of the season at the very least. The timing of this absolutely stinks.

I'm presuming that all the ones who don't go but like to moan will be flocking back to Oakwell next home game. 20, 000 crowd should be great.

Wasnt it the season after Rosler took charge at Brentford they got rich? Maybe wrong but either way, we have more money than most at this level and he's proved he can use it wisely

Don't get me wrong he's a good manager but he's also sitting on his Wigan pay off and can't see him jumping at the chance of a skint club who sack their manager every 5 minutes. It'll be either an internal appointment and untried bloke or someone from league 2.

Brentford have had fifteen managers since 1998. Didn't stop him going there.

His next job will be make or break for his career given the perceived failure at Wigan. He's not an untried manager anymore.

I don't disagree with that. I just think managers are not overly concerned with what's gone before as they think they will be the one to get it right.

Again I don't disagree with that though when we sacked Hill it seemed to put a few off.

It was more specific to Rosler.

Last year he was terrific at Wigan, somethings obviously not gone right there since the summer. Didnt he leave Brentford to move north to be nearer his family? Be a plus point if we were after him
