Why do you have such a problem with him and his reports?

I, along with most others I'm sure, are grateful for his reports. Living where I do, I'd never get to see the academy or the reserves for that matter, so it's good to have a decent, balanced report.

Hi Mark

Just to let you know that multi accounting isn't allowed on the BBS. Can you please let me know which account you would like to close down or both will be deactivated and your IP banned.

Looks like you have plenty of support for your match reports.
I've just picked up this week's copy of Barnsley Football Weekly and noticed that the Academy also played midweek against Hull. First I've read about this game happening and it doesn't say much about the game itself.
Did you report on this game anywhere as there doesn't seem to be anything from Branson on the web?

I did not know about the game so I did not attend. In fairness, I probably would not have attended for a friendly even had I known.

I would guess you rate these players mentioned above some who are playing every week ?

Strange that Hull should play midweek in a friendly because they beat Rotherham on Friday night, they are only a Centre of Excellence side not an Academy team.

Of course barney rates them better i mean he watches them train every day, knows of thier attitude, and is probably a highly qualified coach NOT.

re lardarse

You seem to ask an awful lot of questions without ever offering an opinion.
You have referred to 'glory hunters' on a couple of occasions and more recently asked if all the players are one dimensional? You clearly have some thoughts of your own here!
Why don't you share your opinions on these subjects with everyone else???

I think you will find it was Red rain who mentioned glory hunters which implies they only play for themselves not the team which makes them one dimensional ie ball hogging failing to see a pass lacking vision as i dont attend games i base my thoughts on what you and others write on here as you obviously go to matches and are not impressed with what you see

Ok, fair enough - I just assumed that you were at the matches. You should really try to get down there to see the lads for yourself. Perhaps take a leaf out of "deanotykes" books and make a day of it. It's always good to have another viewpoint.

Barney if you go to games maybe you should also put a report on here so that we can compare it to Red Rains seeing as the poor bloke gets nailed everytime he writes honestly what he sees and thinks

Sorry for being a bit pernickitty Lardarse, but I do not think that I have ever used the phrase glory hunter. The only time that I can recall using a description that may have been interpreted as such is when I have said that Adam was doing too much on the ball. This was not to indicate that he is a glory hunter. This was to indicate that as captain of the team, he may be trying too hard to influence the game, and as a result was not playing his proper or usual game. As for the rest of the lads, lack of confidence is more of a problem.

I would support Barney's comment about more people attending academy games and watching the youngsters as they develop.

Thanks for your suggestion, Lardarse. I think I'd prefer to leave the match reports to Red Rain though. I think he does a good job. I might not always agree with everything he says but let's face it, that's football!
