    I avoid using services because the signs are so bad and I’m worried I could mess up. Not necessarily on the wrong side of the motorway but, like Merde Tete, I have accidentally ended up in the wrong part of the services before.

    About 2 years ago I met an old couple in a car head on, they were going down the slip road the wrong way on the South bound Woolley edge services, luckily was mid afternoon so daylight and I managed to stop them.

    It’s not that difficult when it can kill people. Licenses aren’t handed out to people if they can’t pass the test based on sympathy points so it shouldn’t be taken into account later in life. It’s just too dangerous to not judge it objectively on competence.
