RE: I think there's more than one point here I certainly haven't vilefied him. I do think he looks stupid by making statements like that as a reason for putting himself before others. WHy even bring up the subject of season ticket holders being the lifeblood of the club if not to try and prove that his opinions are somehow more important. Before long we'll have the 'True Fan' wars starting up again. EI can certainly give as good as he gets, but he is also being hounded every time he makes a post and for reasons that, to me seem wrong in this case.
Oooh, this thread's going to topple over soon. The problem, Jay, is that Lifeblood doesn't leave it there. He's lucky enough to be in a position to have a season ticket - I'm sure the club are more than grateful for his cash - but he implies that gives him a more valid opinion about games, players, tactics and the like. Sorry, but it just doesn't work like that. Wild applause for him shelling out for his ST; I'd be there too if circumstances allowed, but shame on his cheap attempts at supporter-apartheid.
RE: No I don't. I've seen Reading play once this season Who has a more valid opinion on their performances this season - me or someone who has seen them play at least half a dozen times?
You're way off the mark with this one Season ticket holders are the 'lifeblood of the club', but would James G even have a club to be the 'lifeblood' of if supporters back in the 60's, 70's and 80's didn't exist? As for his argument about how much it used to cost to see a game, surely he's clever enough to realise that people were paid a lot less than, and football as a business required less finance to run? In 20 years James G might find himself in Addio's position, and they'll be a BBS replacement hounding him for not been the 'lifeblood' of the club.
RE: You're way off the mark with this one The only point I've made is that season ticket holders are the lifeblood of the club and you agree with that in your first line, so I'm not sure how I'm way off the mark with this one.
Simple really, to be a lifeblood fan, you need to have gone macclesfield on a wednesday night. Sold raffle tickets during Admin and/or had group sex with the first team
The part regarding James being villified Of course he is, as he's putting himself on a level above other supporters who once were, as he calls it, the lifeblood of the club. If they didn't back to the club back then, he may not be able to back the club right now. That is where you're way off the mark.
