What Stahlrost says is absolutely correct. Theoretically you can live through an interpreter but it would be pretty frustrating. Imagine how limiting it is not to be able to do the most normal of things yourself, like order a taxi or a takeaway, or explain a problem to your service provider when the internet stops working.

I concur. Pacey, scores goals another younger Hamill. No brainer for free. Other clubs must've shown an interest so for us to get him will be quite a coup and bodes well for any other business we do. I'll be well chuffed.

(Roch)Dale is having a medical at Oakwell.

BREAKING NEWS. The entire Rochdale first team is poised to sign on at Oakwell today if they can pass the medical.

Done a few calculations and 96.5% of players who play for Bayern Munich II are German/Austrian.

I agree with you to some extent. He wouldn’t need to communicate with team mates/know what was being said about tactics etc because he could just point at the wing and the physio’s now and again. Fabio Capello successfully introduced this communication theory.
But what if he got the German words for garlic mayo and chilli mixed up and subsequently got a kebab with garlic mayo on it when he wanted chilli? It is obviously a risk that he isn’t willing to take anymore and I don’t blame him.

I have got contacts at the club and one of them gave me the scouting report in return for a slice of pizza. It says Jennings has got a low centre of gravity combined with exquisite balance, increasing the likeliness of him staying on his feet after getting tackled by Paul Koncheskey.

I'm not sure it would. Untried in this division, on the back of 3/4 years of reserve team football?

That said, it would be a fantastic signing. If he's half the player he looked at Tranmere, we've got ourselves a real talent.

Just to play devil's advocate - where would would he fit in? He's a left winger, so assuming we stick with wingbacks, Goldie will be first choice. We already have perks, daws, kelvin & jacob fighting for the middle three, which is 1 too many. So unless he's either a) gonna play at RWB, or b) we're reverting back to 4-4-2, where would he naturally fit?

Re: Rob Staton seems to confirm this on Twitter

He's got pace and skill, is two footed and knows where the goal is. So obviously just a left winger then especially as he's all of twenty years old so and been playing there so long he can't possibly play anywhere else.

I reckon we'll see a lot more of 4-4-2 next season.

Otherwise he could play opposite O'Brien in a 4-2-3-1 with two of Perkins, Dawson and Etuhu holding and Mellis in the hole.

Even putting to one side what Stahlrost and Merde Tete have both said and you were lucky enough to always be around someone that speaks English, wouldn't you still want to learn German? Isn't the whole point of living in a foreign country to have the manners to learn their native language and embrace the culture? It's shocking how many over here get a 90 quid an hour interpreter because they are too lazy to learn English. It bothers me greatly someone like Carlos Tevez has lived here for years and not bothered.

Firstly we need a squad of players. I think Flitcroft could go 4231 with mellis in the hole and Perkins or Dawson with Etuhu or Digby in there.

Re: Rob Staton seems to confirm this on Twitter

In our wing back 3-2-3-2 formation, he would be competition for Jacob Mellis in the creative/playmaker role (at the point of a midfield triangle) or play him off O'Grady/target man upfront.

I'm sure Jennings would be great down either wing/or striker in a 4-4-2 as well, and this added flexibility could be what attracted him to Flicker. He isn't exactly afraid to change formation numerous times during a game or set up differently depending on the team we are playing etc is he?

Having said that i have never seen him play and don't know what position he plays.

Think it was the Leicester game - Matt Bailey: "And Kennedy has Mellis inside him...." :)
