    I don't want Hammill either but we have two guys who can play on either wing (as you've mentioned) yet want us to strengthen a position where we have one more extra player who can play there.

    Nyatanga just doesn't convince me as a left back and I think we look more vulnerable in central areas without him in the centre of defence.

    Smith is good but he can't play every game this season so I think we need a left back. The trouble is we can't really get another loanee and I can't see a free agent being attracted to the possibility of being second choice to a 19 year old.

    I'd have him back at the right price.

    He can play LWB too which is an area we're struggling with.

    It always amazes me how someone like Hammill, whos clearly wasted his career , has hardly played much football in 4 years , is a bit of a pri ck is wanted back at Oakwell by some fans.
    He's a busted flush and we are rightly leaving well alone.
