Its not gunna be that ball greedy, paceless tw@t is it? The further from the field he is, the better for the team at the minute, we cant afford passengers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tha unreal. Kent showed nothing. No graft. No tracking back. Hammill did both. Did you notice how tightly he was marked and how quickly he was closed down?
You don't see a problem? If he'd have walked off any slower wasting our own time at two down it would have been a crawl. He got Hecky off him when the head coach put an arm around him, kicked out a few times, refused to wear a training top to keep warm then sulked off to the other end of the dug out. I don't care how frustrated he is, you just can't act like that and it's time he found the championship level form he had first time around with us because he's playing more like he did for Wolves, Huddersfield and Rotherham.
They were both ineffective. Hammill was on balance worse. And to describe his behaviour as immature would be a compliment.
Youve got to be on a wind up here surely? The only times he tracked back were when he'd lost the ball, which was quite a lot to be fair. Also, it may look like he was tightly marked, but when you make the same 'come short' run to get the ball off the full back everytime its down your flank, its pretty easy to push onto him. Id have picked him as Newcastles best player tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Not sure how anyone with eyes could think Kent played more than a 4 out of 10 game tonight. Only cared about himself no thought for the team. Needs to have a word with himself.
He did track back numerous times. Including a 30 yard run in the second half where he won the ball. Kent also set up probably our best chance. Drilled across the face of goal but no one was there to tap in. Think you've been harsh on him. He's raw but he has pace and he scares defenders. It doesn't come off too often but at least he's trying to make something happen. We're not going to break championship teams down very easily so we need someone to try and create a bit of magic.
Think they are both bang out of form but with so many injuries not sure what other options we have. Could have played Yiadom on right of midfield but we need him at LB for the moment. Just a pit Janko is out as he would've been an obvious choice. Lee is supposed to be a wide player but can't see him getting back to cover the full back......
We've had some reight wage-stealers over the years. I'd rather see Hammill lose his temper than politely shrug and accept it. He's like a fan - genuinely gives a ****. Crack on, Adam, lad.
To Hemsworth, for taking up a place that belongs to Chelsea kid. Sent via Royal Mail and typed up by my Tapatalk byatch
It's a shame that Janko is injured, because I think both Hammill and Kent have been fairly anonymous in recent weeks. They both need dropping/resting, but sadly our only back-up is Elliot Lee.
Pleased to see him hold his hands up and very pleased to see hecky say what he did. Very surprised to see as many people condoning him tbh. But yeah, move on now
He had to sub him because he would have been sent off for his next tackle, his head had gone, he had just been booked for a bad challenge and the ref would have been watching him closely after that. Petulant & childish behaviour when he was taken off but as a few have said, at least he cares and that's better than not giving a toss. Big season ahead for Hammill, never really proven himself at Championship level over a sustained period and apart from the odd flash of briliance he has been struggling so far this season and this is when his temperament is really put to the test. It's easy being a changed man, family orientated etc. when you are playing well every week and everybody is treating you as a god, it's much harder when things are going against you and that's when true colours start to show. I hope he comes through it, he's been fanatstic for us since he re-signed and I doubt very much we would even be playing at this level without his fanastic efforts last season so cut the guy some slack for now and let's see how things pan out for him over the coming weeks/months.
