Why he’s just using the competitive advantage that WBA hold over us. That 2m release doesn’t seem all that clever when you start to have to replace half of the coaching staff too. I’d deffo be rethinking the amount in future and also perhaps putting similar things into the coaches contracts. The whole head coach model is meant to be that you don’t need to replace the whole lot if they move on.
I suspect there are/were clauses in coaching contracts. We can't complain though, look how we got rid of Tonge and Stern when we sacked Stendel. We can't expect loyalty if we fail to show it ourselves.
It could end up that West Brom paid 2m for a head coach, Assistant coach, various other backroom staff and one of the divisions top scoring midfielders from last season. Not bad.
Their salaries won't chip much into £2m. Its the norm at most clubs for the staff to follow, our man will bring his own in.
I would hope nobody would boo him when we play WBA but he didn't want to be with us and he's taking our captain and assistant head coach on the cheap so hopefully it won't be a love in either with his name sung.
Not as easy for foreign coaches to bring their own staff now . Since brexit certain criteria as to be met.
If Adam does end up leaving ,which looks v likely, I'd like to thank him for his efforts whilst he's been here. He's had a lot of unnecessary stick on this forum which has been undeserved. He stuck with us when things were **** and its clear he had a good relationship with the players. He has been a constant during the upheavals of the past. A good employee in his time with us.
He’s back on the official site. Along with all the coaches/analysts that had gone earlier including the guy who joined with Ishmael.
From the official site re: Murray. All compensation received from the buyout of these contracts will be reinvested into the first team squad ahead of the approaching season. Add onto the £2m from Val and if the new gaffer turns out to be OK were laughing - hew certainly got better plaudits over in Austria.
