Agree entirely. A few years ago I asked for my account to be deleted. Not because of a "flounce" as folks on here seem to call it, but due to unwanted hassle from someone. I just wanted to make it so that no-one could contact me. That's wrong. People should just stop hassling individuals. No-one should be in a situation that they feel they have to use the ignore button, or they should hide. Why can't folks just behave? I have had to report people to the police due to hassle on here and via Facebook. Again, that should not happen. Admin do try to let foks get on with stuff, and can't see everything, but in this instance we've lost a poster because he feels intimidated. Gally has issued a final warning. We're watching.
It's hard as an outsider to keep track of all the little niggles as they are spread out over many threads and different times, and of course we can't see the PMs. I can guarantee that redarmychris will feel inunadated with it. It wasn't until SuperTyke 'outed' said poster on here for his following me around that people realised just how much effort he had actually put into stalking me. Each thing seems little and harmless on their own, it's when you put them together that the extent of it becomes clear.
Must admit I'm mates with LDRed on Facebook and we talk now and again and he's always been pretty sound so I can only judge him with how I've taken him so can't really comment, I don't often read entire threads to be honest but yeah as you say who knows what's been said privately.
