How is it nitpicking?? You're saying that Keith Hill only signs lower league players, and when it's pointed out to you that is not the case you start shifting the goal posts and say that he hasn't signed experienced Championship players. Just to nitpick that's complete ******** too, but I can't see the things you can Nudge so maybe I'm incapable of understanding why Cywka, Tonge, Cotterill, Drinkwater, Etuhu, Kennedy, Cranie et al cannot be considered as players with Championship experience.

[IMG] Serious yaaawwwn.... We have squad of players, some of which were recruited from the lower leagues, some Keith Hill Hill had previously worked with and believed they could step up or be developed in to Championship quality and the remainder from established top and second tier clubs who were surplus to requirements or failed to establish themselves in the first team at their respective clubs. Is that not how it is? Can I go back to sleep now? [IMG]

Its like knocking a nail into a knot...........it just wont go in............but here goes.......

Cywka - not wanted by parent club
Tonge - not wanted by parent club. Arrived in the middle of the season unfit.
Cotterill - not wanted by parent club. Arrived in the middle of the season unfit.
    Drinkwater - reserve team player
Etuhu - still wanted by 1st division club
Kennedy - not wanted by parent club
Cranie - still wanted by 1st division club

Which ever way you look at it, since Keith Hill was appointed the manager he has been trawling through the bargin basement
Everyone in South Yorkshire football knows that except you and a few more that just want to diss Keith Hill

Bloody hell Nudge, them goal posts are stuck in shifting sand aren't they? So now we've established that not all players came from lower league clubs, you're changing tack to say that all the players weren't wanted by their previous clubs. I can't be arsed to go through every player but don't you think most players aren't wanted by their previous clubs and that's why they're available for transfer??

Nudger seems to think that us being unable to buy a player from a premiership or championship club when his club wants to keep him is something unique to Keith Hill. My question to him is when was the last time we managed to do this? When did Barnsley last go to a premiership or championship club and sign their player who they wanted to keep? I can't think of any at all, can you?

Would that be the same Shackell who hadn't played a game for wolves for 15 months when we signed him and had only ever started 3 league games for wolves when we signed him? Wasn't wanted by his club at all.
