Was wrongly played out of position, as was Styles and Kitchen. This head coach weirdly has a penchant for playing people out of position.
Only a young lad in a poor side shouldnt have started and probably not ready for that level of football.
That sort of comment will definitely help his confidence with regards to his development , When he reads it.
How did you think he did? I've clearly said I felt for him being thrown in like that and I don't think it should have happened, but the OP asked for views on how he played. My honest view is it would have made no difference if we'd started with ten. I'm sorry if that's harsh on the young man and it absolutely doesn't mean that he isn't good enough or won't make it - we've not seen anywhere near enough for that - but the harsh truth is that his selection did not work on Saturday.
He did OK. Saw very little of the ball with very little service. I wouldn't have suggested he was the best stand out player but wasn't the worst. Senior pros both making errors for the first and what should have been the second goal. Didn't think we have seen enough of him yet to write him off. He's still developing and the conditions didn't help either side.
