Yiadom has consistently been one of our best players this season - he's come on in leaps and bounds -those points per game stats are garbage it's a team game. Back four works as a unit it isn't a one man show

White should be first choice as full back and then you pick one of the others. Just an opinion but it's mine.

White works best with Hammill. Yiadom is a great asset and will play both sides. It's a good problem to have. Bree will feel hard done by if he's left out but I think we need experience for Tuesday. Its got to be the composure of Yiadom and the pace and experience of White against Wednesday. Norwich is a must win as we need to keep ground on the top half though, so we still need to be at our best.

Bree is a liability and his ability and displays in the first team don't warrant the risk. Yiadom at right back, white at left

Competition at full back is just what we need. We've got three quality full backs and when they're all fit, whoever is left out can feel unlucky. Yiadom has been consistent all season in either position and is yet another lower league player to have made the step up. White, like Bree, needs an injury free run of games. It does concern me though that the original posters two favoured full backs, with due respect to his opinion, have poor fitness records and either have to miss matches to stay fit or have repeatedly been injured. By default, Yiadom is going to be first choice on reliability alone.

If Bree can't play twice a week what hope has White got?

White is a good player, but let's not forget he's made of chocolate.

Let's not be rushing anyone back into the team. Let's just be glad to have better strength in depth.

Healthy debate regarding selection is a worthwhile exercise but last season and this has shown that we (or Hecky) hasn`t really had to make the difficult but positive decision of two from three of our excellent full-back options. these things seem to have a way of working their own solution. As stated by a few above can`t we just enjoy having the choice - it doesn`t have to be at the degradation of any of the players.

James Bree is an excellent young player who will have a long and illustrious career in my opinion. However, Yiadom is our current player of the month, and bang in form. As it stands IF White is fit it's White and Yiadom for me.

Let's have it right though. Isn't it hugely refreshing to have a selection dilemma where it's quality or quality that is the choice available rather than who is worse?! Scott Wise man anyone?

Apart from Hourihane, Yiadom is one of our best crosses of the ball! That peach of a ball to set up Bradshaw against Rotherham was quality. Lately he hasn't been able to do that as much as he has been playing on the left hand side, but he's made up for it with his defensive abilities.

With a fully fit squad to choose from, it's Yiadom & White starting every time!
Bree is good don't get me wrong, but he's still developing.

Which defender in this or any league never gets beat or caught out of position?

The TV pundits make a living out of pointing out footballers shortcomings at the weekend.

You must be watching different players to me and probably the rest of the people on here. If you honestly think or believe that Bree is better than Yids then you will never understand football. I think Bree has great potential but Yids is a far better all round player at this moment in time, and to put this into perspective, I am front the same town as Bree and my sister in law taught him at school, however, my rose tinted glasses do not focus that far!!!

Saidy Janko has been absolutely dross for every team he has played for when playing Right back. I really hope he doesn't start there for us.

Please go away. You love James Bree, you don't like Andy Yiadom. We get it. Do you really have to start another thread telling us this to SMASH HOME THAT POINT AGAIN?

I don't even know why I'm replying here. It's like asking a horse to speak French.

There's no doubt the thread starters clueless about football but let's not turn on Bree just because he's unfairly slating Yiadom.

2 posters in here talking nonsense, calling Bree a 'liability' & another describing him as 'costing us a goal a game' is ridiculous, stop taking the bait.

We've got 3 quality full backs in Yiadom, Bree & White & hopefully Kpekawa will get to the same standard

Bree and white are both liabilities though in terms of long term planning. Nothing at all wrong with their performances in general but you can't make any long term plans that include them because their injury problems mean they are ALWAYS likely to get injured.

It's why so many people were bemoaning the decision to get rid of George Williams and why it took just a few weeks of the new season before we were playing a centre back at full back because both of them were out injured again.

For that reason I think that it is a very valid question. Are here's performances so outstanding that they outweigh the liability of regular injury? In my opinion they don't and that is backed up by the fact that both Andy yiadom and George Williams have performed just as well as him in the last 12 months.

That isn't an unfair criticism of him, its just harsh reality.
